Version 1.4.1 takes 1.4 further into the places where you actually shop: your phone's home screen, the aisle, and the fruit and veg stand.

Aukilo on your home screen

Four widgets, on iPhone and Android alike:

My shopping list: tick items off without opening the app, with the photo, size and price of each line. You choose which list it shows, and you can place two widgets for two different lists.
Deals: today's best prices near you. Tap a deal to open its product page.
Scanner: the camera in one tap to check a price in the aisle, even from the iPhone lock screen.
Price alerts: the products you follow, and the ones that have hit your price.

To add them, open Settings, then Widgets, in the app. Items ticked from the widget are saved the next time you open Aukilo.

In store, leave or switch in one tap

When Aukilo knows you are in a shop, two buttons sit at the top of the screen: "Leave" takes you back to your usual home screen, "Change" is there if you are actually in another shop.
On Android, the arrival reminder is back. It stays optional: switch it on in the settings, or turn it down with a single button.

Add "6 apples" or "1 kg of apples": fruit, vegetables, cuts of meat and whole fish can be asked for by the piece or by weight, with the equivalent shown alongside.
Pick the variety (Gala, Pink Lady, Conference…) and the origin you prefer. Both are optional.
All of it works even offline.

All of the app's data now goes through a single access point, better protected and easier to build on. Nothing changes in how you use it.

The Community map shows contributors, cities and shops as clearer tiles.
After a contribution, Aukilo asks you once whether to show your contributions on your public profile. Without your say-so, they stay hidden.
The "All time" leaderboard now updates as soon as you contribute.
