The real price
isn’t on the
label.
It’s per kilo.
Aukilo is the first community that compares the real price of your groceries — per kilo, per liter, per unit —, format by format and store by store. We expose packaging tricks.

* Illustrative visual, non-contractual.
A unified product database.
To compare what’s truly comparable.
Two products may seem different because the barcode, format or packaging changes. Aukilo groups variants of the same product to show you the price per kilo, per liter or per unit in a single view.
The result: you compare formats and stores on the same basis, without falling for the price displayed in big print on the label.
1 product = 1 unique listing
Format, brand, barcode, packaging: everything is grouped by our unification engine. You see all variants of the same product in one view.
Direct comparison
You see immediately which format is cheapest per kilo, based on available prices.
* Example of prices recorded in France by the Aukilo community.
Three cans for €1,
the pack at €3.90.
The label says "deal". The math says otherwise. Multipacks, family-size formats and promos are designed so you don’t do the division. Aukilo does it for you — and tells you which one to buy.

Comparing per kilo means comparing what’s comparable
The price per kilo (or per liter) is the only common unit between different formats, brands and stores. It’s also mandatory in France since 1997 — but barely readable on the shelf.
- 2
The family format isn’t always the cheapest
On nearly 1 product out of 3, the large format costs more per kilo than the standard format. 3-packs are sometimes 25% above the unit price. We detect them automatically.

Packaging is a coded language. We decode it for you.
"Maxi format", "deal", "–30%": these are marketing signals, not prices. Aukilo brings everything back to a single unit: €/kg.

Yesterday 200 g.
Today 150 g.
Tomorrow?
Shrinkflation is when the format shrinks while the price stays the same — or even goes up per kilo. Aukilo is the first community-powered shrinkflation detector in France: every scan compares the recorded weight to the history. You see immediately if the product has lost weight.

Scan or photo:
it’s that simple.
Torn barcode, folded label, product without a readable code? Aukilo recognizes the product from a simple photo of the packaging. The product page opens, the price per kilo is displayed, the contribution is pre-filled.
You take the photo, we identify
The Aukilo vision engine recognizes brand, format and variant in less than 3 seconds — even on regional products.
Reading labels & receipts
Price, format, deal, store: contribution fields are pre-filled automatically. 20 seconds to contribute.
Barcode, photo, search
Three entry points, one unified listing. You find the product even when the barcode is unreadable or missing.
Without you,
no real
savings.
No store will tell you that 200 meters away, the same product is cheaper per kilo. Prices aren’t secret — they’re just unreadable. To make them comparable at scale, we need one thing: the community.
Become a contributor →You scan what you buy
Barcode or photo. The app recognizes the product, opens the listing, shows the price per kilo at the store you’re in. You verify, then you confirm.
You confirm a price in 20 s
Photo of the label, automatic reading, geolocation. Everything is pre-filled. You confirm — the community benefits quickly.
You report what’s wrong
Misleading multipack, hidden price hike, shrinking format: you send the proof, we alert the others. That’s real collective saving.

Everything we didn’t have time to tell you above.
Why compare per kilo?
Because the price displayed in big print on the label isn’t always enough to compare correctly. A 400 g pack at €3 may seem cheaper than a 1 kg pack at €6, but the price per kilo tells a different story. Aukilo brings every format back to a common base: per kilo, per liter or per unit.
What is shrinkflation?
It’s when a product contains less than before, without an equivalent price drop. A pack going from 200 g to 150 g at the same price is +33% per kilo — an invisible hike without history. Aukilo records format changes and makes the difference readable.
Where do the prices shown in Aukilo come from?
From multiple sources: user contributions, label photos, receipts, drives, catalogs, open databases. These prices are indicative — the authoritative price is always the one in the store or at checkout when you buy.
Is Aukilo free?
Yes. Aukilo Freemium is free with some limits. Aukilo Plus, at €2.99 per month or €19.99 per year, gives access to more features for intensive use.
Is Aukilo affiliated with stores or brands?
No. Aukilo is independent. No store, brand or manufacturer can pay to be displayed as cheaper, change a ranking or influence comparisons. We rank based on the available data, not commercial agreements.
Do you sell my data?
No. Aukilo doesn’t sell your personal data. No store or brand can buy them to target you individually. Aukilo may use aggregated statistics on prices and trends, without allowing anyone to identify you.
