What you can do today
Compare per kilo, by format and by store
Scan a product and the app instantly shows other formats of the same item (240 g, 400 g, 1 kg...) and prices reported by the community at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons... The cheapest per kilo wins, period.
Detect shrinkflation
The first community-powered shrinkflation detector. When you scan a product whose weight has silently dropped, we compare it to 24 months of history, calculate the gap in price per kilo, and attach photo evidence. No more invisible price hikes.
Spot misleading multipacks
Is the "maxi pack" really cheaper? We calculate the price per kilo of the bundle and compare it to the single unit. When the pack costs more per kilo (which happens more often than you'd think), Aukilo flags it clearly.
Recognise a product by photo
Torn barcode, folded label, regional product with no scannable EAN? A photo is enough. The vision engine identifies brand, format and variant in under 3 seconds.
A unified product database
The same Nutella sold at Tesco, Aldi and Lidl — different barcodes, different formats — points to a single product page. Stores are finally aligned on the same comparable unit. It's invisible work, but it changes everything.
Community + reports
Every price entry is attached to a label photo, a geolocation and a timestamp. You can flag a suspicious price, confirm a listing, validate a format change. The more of us there are, the fresher the data.
